I didn't change anything. The same old PC that I have had for 13 years. Still runs fine. But why this "New CPU installed!" error message every time when I boot up my PC?
The answer finally revealed about a fortnight ago.
The CMOS battery has run out of juice. A dead battery. This I can confirm as now I am getting a new error message saying that my system date and time is not set. This looks familiar. Yes, I encountered the second error message before and I solved it last time by replacing the CMOS battery with a new one.
Hmm... Lasted only about 5 years. Think I'll go green this time and let my computer sync with the time server.
