Learnt something new today. These Chinese Pond Herons, they look different depending on the season. This blog post contains pictures of a Chinese Pond Heron in its winter plumage.
The two pictures in this blog post here is how it looks in its breeding plumage.
Pictures were taken on April 28th, 2023 at around 8 A.M. in the morning. What caught my attention then was the rather loud 'gwak' that I heard that morning.
Pictures was taken with my Canon Powershot SX530 HS, by the way, at 215mm focal length. Still my favourite birding camera despite having a Canon EF-S IS STM 55-250mm lens for my Canon 800D/T7i.
